Nice to Meet You

A Storyteller By Nature

Laurnie was born with a pencil in hand. Well, maybe not really. But, for as long as she can remember, she has considered herself a writer. For her, writing is a process that creates, nourishes and destroys. It opens new doors and closes old wounds. It is endless in its opportunity and its adversity, and she would not have it any other way.

When she discovered her passion for yoga and Ayurveda, Laurnie felt as though she could see the world with entirely fresh eyes. Suddenly, this already observant woman had a clearer lens through which to understand the fast-paced world around her. Everything fell into place. If writing is a way to process and communicate the depths of our experiences, then the practice of yoga asana is a physical channel for acknowledging our current state and Ayurveda is a means through which to remain in balance. All three invite us to slow down. All three invite us look within. All three allow us to reconnect; first with ourselves and then with each other.

The inherent oneness of these passions ignited Laurnie's desire to create a life where she could purse each one in depth. And so, she did.

Today, Laurnie enjoys taking on a variety of freelance writing projects in addition to sharing her love of yoga and the healing wisdom of Ayurveda. She has never been one to fit in a box and appreciates the ability to move between interests in order to most effectively support herself and those around her. At the core of everything she does is a desire to bring people together for positive, sustainable change.

Whether through the written word, the physical postures of yoga or the ancient insight of Ayurveda, Laurnie is committed to bringing a sense of self-awareness and empowerment to each and every person she encounters.

This is just the beginning.

Her Mission

Write. Share. Heal. These three words sum up her passions and continue to inspire her on a daily basis. It is with these goals in mind that she begins every writing project, yoga class and Ayurveda session.

Laurnie is especially motivated to share her holistic perspective with a diverse range of individuals, so that everyone can truly benefit from the simple yet powerful practices that have the potential to create widespread change, one person at a time. Laurnie believes that we are already equipped with everything we need to succeed. Sometimes it just takes another pair of eyes to see a little more clearly.
